Feature № 05 — FAQ & policies

The questions that come up the most.

The honest answers. If a question isn't here, ask at the desk or pick up the phone — we won't make up policy on the fly.

— Chapter 1 —

Visiting.

9 AM to 10 PM, every day — including weekends and most holidays. Holiday hours occasionally vary; call to confirm if the date matters.
Walk-ins welcome any time we're open. For larger groups, multiple piercings, or a guaranteed piercer, calling ahead helps us pace your wait. We don't currently take online bookings.
Webster flagship: 18201 Gulf Fwy, Unit I, Webster, TX 77598 — the strip off the southbound feeder. Galveston satellite: 714 25th Street, near the Strand. Galveston scheduling changes more often than the website; call to confirm a piercer is on the island.
— Chapter 2 —

Minors & ID.

Yes — with a parent or legal guardian present. Both the minor and the guardian need valid government-issued photo ID. We never pierce nipples or genitals on anyone under 18 — that's an industry standard, not a discretionary policy.
Driver's license, state ID, US passport, military ID, or equivalent government-issued photo ID. School IDs and expired IDs are not accepted.
Bring a birth certificate, adoption papers, or court-issued guardianship documents that link the guardian to the minor. We'd rather over-document than turn you away at the counter.
We use individual judgment for younger children: the child has to be able to sit calmly and consent to the process. We'll talk it through with the parent before any decision.
— Chapter 3 —

Safety & technique.

Single-use sterile needles only. Piercing guns cause blunt-force tissue trauma and cannot be properly sterilized — they're inappropriate for any piercing.
Needles are single-use and disposed of in a sharps container after one use. Jewelry is sterilized in an autoclave. Surfaces, gloves, and tools follow standard bloodborne-pathogen procedure. Ask any piercer — they'll walk you through the setup.
Often yes. Diabetes, pregnancy, blood thinners, autoimmune conditions, keloid history, and heart conditions all change technique or jewelry choice but don't always mean no. The intake captures these so your piercer is ready. For pregnancy specifically, certain piercings are deferred until after.
— Chapter 4 —

Jewelry.

Implant-grade titanium, solid 14k or 18k gold, or implant-grade steel. Titanium is the default for new piercings, especially for clients with nickel sensitivity. We don't put plated or unknown alloys in fresh piercings.
Generally not for a fresh piercing — we can't verify the material grade, sterilization, or design quality. For a healed piercing, the piercer will inspect and decide.
Once your piercer clears it — usually a downsize at the 4–12 week mark, full jewelry swaps after the piercing is healed. Trying to change a fresh piercing yourself tends to cause irritation bumps or a stuck post.
— Chapter 5 —

Pricing & payment.

Pricing is the piercing fee plus the jewelry. Because jewelry ranges from titanium to solid gold, we quote in studio or over the phone so the number you hear is the number you pay. Call (346) 810-3589 for current ranges.
Piercing services are non-refundable once performed. Jewelry exchanges for sizing may be arranged at the piercer's discretion within 7 days with proof of purchase. Specifics confirmed in studio.
— Chapter 6 —

Aftercare.

The full protocol lives on its own page. The short version: sterile saline twice a day, don't twist, don't submerge, don't change jewelry yourself.
